New head of programme management
Jonathan Dunk has been appointed as the new Head of Programme Management at housing market renewal pathfinder Bridging NewcastleGateshead (BNG).
His role will be to ensure delivery of BNG’s programme to regenerate areas of low demand housing across Newcastle and Gateshead over the next two years and beyond.
Jonathan comes to BNG from the West Yorkshire Housing Partnership, where he was delivery manager, responsible for the delivery of sub-regional housing investment programmes.
Prior to this, Jonathan worked for Transform South Yorkshire, another housing market renewal pathfinder, set up to regenerate the housing market across South Yorkshire.
Jonathan, who originates from Barnsley in South Yorkshire, holds an MA in Urban Regeneration from the University of Westminster and is well versed in regeneration and housing issues.
Having studied at the University of Northumbria between 1991 and 1995, Jonathan is looking forward to returning to the North East to see how things have changed.
He said: "NewcastleGateshead has been transformed over the past ten years and it’s a very exciting time to be returning to play a part in its continuing growth and development.
"I’m looking forward to meeting and working with new colleagues and partners. And I’m excited by the challenges, the scale of the work and the pace at which improvements are being both delivered and planned."
Anne Mulroy, BNG’s Director, welcomed Jonathan’s appointment. She said:
"Jonathan has an excellent understanding of the housing and regeneration market and will play a key role in helping us to develop, monitor, review and evaluate our programme of activity as we progress. I am delighted to welcome him to the team."
